UREKA E-Cadets E-Commerce and Digital Marketing Training

The UREKA FORUM, a consortium composed of e-Commerce leaders and experts powered by UnionBank, enables mass conversion of SMEs to e-Commerce. Among the consortium partners are PLDT-Smart SME Nation, Air21, Shopinas, Dragonpay, AMTI, GeiserMaclang Marketing Communications, Zalora, and Esquire Financing. They are also partners with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) in their MSME programs.

The “UREKA E-Cadet Program” certify students from the Business/Commerce, IT, and Computer
Science/Studies degrees. The training  taught students how to recruit SMEs, how to help set the SMEs up, online, on a full-serviced platform, complete with a payment gateway and a logistics partner. By end of day, students can be called experts in setting up different products and services on such platform, with basic knowledge on e-commerce. This initiative will support the DTI’s mandate to deliver 100,000 SMEs to e-commerce by year 2020.

The E-Cadet Program was held last July 28, 2017, from 8:00am-4:00pm at the Phinma University of Iloilo.
